CNC Programmer (Ref: E-1)

 

Flanagan Industries an AS9100 approved manufacturer of aerospace and land-based gas turbine engine components in Glastonbury, CT is seeking CNC/Unigraphics Programmers to create programs for CNC lathes, VTL’s and CNC multi-axis milling machines using Unigraphics NX6 programming language. Successful candidates will possess:
  • Five years progressive experience as a programmer in aeronautic or aerospace environment
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or math
  • Capability of programming 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers (including vertical and horizontal turning centers)
  • Ability to create detailed set up and tool sheets in Unigraphics NX6
  • Skills necessary to develop programs and documentation for manufacture of turbine components and related parts
  • A cooperative attitude to work closely with manufacturing personnel in a team environment and resolve shop floor manufacturing issues
  • Skills necessary to specify cutting tools and work with suppliers to obtain the proper tools for specific work to be performed.
  • A thorough understanding of speeds and feeds for aerospace materials and ability to adjust calculations for specific materials
  • Proficiency in Unigraphics NX6 with the ability to write complex programs with minimal error
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work with minimal supervision
